‘Lighting Up’ ECON 202 Lectures with the Lightboard

A lightboard facilitates high-quality videos of instructors writing on a board to explain concepts while still facing their students. It creates a more engaging experience for the students and a teacher presence in an online environment. Last summer, Texas A&M University installed its first lightboard in the College of Liberal Arts to convert ECON 202 into a completely online format. The mini-lectures were recorded in the lightboard studio and then edited.
